Right! I had one more example of the sort of post people could do here left on my list: introduction/self promotion. So here we go :)

I got into fanfic/fanart etc fandom a few years ago but never really felt like I was a part of it creatively, until I suddenly realised that a lot of the "webcomic" stuff I do is in fact fancomics. Having come to that realisation I was disappointed to realise that fancomics, in and of themselves, don't really have their own niche in fandom. I was then strongly overcome with the urge to create one all by myself, an urge I eventually gave into today :)

I don't actually create that many fan comics, since in general I produce creative stuff at a pretty slow rate.

I guess the first organised fancomics I did were for [livejournal.com profile] skeletor_hordak, a group He-man comic created by some guys in local (australian) science fiction fandom.
I then decided to draw one to help out the just-starting community [livejournal.com profile] red_packet.
Since then I've decided to get into fanart in a bigger way, and got my friends to give me some prompts, some of which resulted in fan comics. From there? Who knows.

All my fancomics can be seen at the fannish tag at my comics blog, the two I'm most proud of are The cast of Firefly celebrating Chinese new year and Steampunk Pride and Prejudice (even if I didn't write my own dialogue for that one :))
